“Service in Bloom” has been chosen as the theme for the 2027 Heart of Gold Gala and Auction, planned for Friday, April 16, 2027 at the Holiday Inn in Wilsonville. The Heart of Gold event is the Rotary Club of Wilsonville’s signature fundraiser and was created in 2002. The highlight of the evening is the announcement of the next Wilsonville First Citizen (or citizens), an award based on volunteer service to the community. There is also a travel raffle, a silent auction, a live auction, dinner and more. The proceeds from the event provide the funding for projects and programs through the Wilsonville Rotary Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Co-chair Melanie Cottle will discuss plans for the event and help club members prepare for their role in making it a huge success.
