Shawn Moyer-DeMarre will share the story of distilled spirits in Oregon, tracing their evolution from the Oregon Territory through Prohibition and into modern times. Drawing on history, characters, and cultural shifts, he will explore how this history reflects the spirit and resilience of the people who have shaped the place we call home.
The Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community. Guests are welcome. Shawn Moyer-DeMarre is a born and raised Oregonian who works in concierge financial planning, with a focus on business owners, farmers, and retirees. Outside of work, he is a sports enthusiast who enjoys competition on the basketball court and golf course. At home, Shawn manages a small homestead and a very full household as a foster parent, adoptive parent, and biological parent, with seven children currently at home.
