Autumn Hartje will share her experience with Semester at Sea, a global study abroad program where students travel by ship while completing college coursework. Her presentation explores how international travel and cultural immersion can challenge assumptions, broaden perspectives, and foster meaningful growth.
Autumn will reflect on the personal and academic lessons she gained while visiting multiple countries, studying in a floating campus environment, and building connections with diverse communities around the world. She’ll offer insight into what it means to step outside your comfort zone and engage with new people, places, and ideas.
This presentation invites attendees to consider the value of global education and how it can shape resilience, purpose, and a deeper understanding of the world.
