Oliver Svadlenka, a Wilsonville High School student, will share highlights from his long-term Rotary Youth Exchange in India during the 2024–25 school year.
He spent the year living abroad, attending classes, and immersing himself in Indian culture. Oliver will reflect on what he learned, how he adapted to a new environment, and the memorable moments from his exchange adventure.
The Rotary Club of Wilsonville is proud to sponsor Rotary Youth Exchange, one of the most respected student exchange programs in the world. Local high school students can apply for a long-term exchange, spending their junior year abroad, or a short-term summer exchange. Students gain cultural immersion, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships while host families in Wilsonville open their homes to students from around the globe. Rotary provides safety checks, host family training, and strong support networks to make every exchange a safe and life-changing experience.
