Juana, our Rotary Youth Exchange student from Argentina, will share highlights from her year in Wilsonville before returning home. We’ll also hear from the winners of this year’s 4-Way Test Essay Contest, with students invited to read their award-winning essays.

Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a mental health crisis, separate truths from myths, and discover practical coping skills and tools. Gary Marschke, Outreach & Development Manager for NAMI Clackamas, will share insights on mental health challenges, available resources, and ways to care for your own well-being. NAMI Clackamas, a grassroots non-profit, provides free mental health education, support, and advocacy through programs led by individuals with lived experience, improving the quality of life for everyone in the community.

City of Wilsonville Building Official Dan Carlson and Building Inspector / Plans Examiner III Carl Brown will discuss how the Building Division uses drones to enhance safety and efficiency in inspections of rooftops, framing, solar installations, and more. They will also highlight how drone technology supports rapid post-disaster assessments and improves inspection accuracy through high-definition imaging.

Wilsonville Police Chief Rob Wurpes will provide an overview of the Wilsonville Police Department, including its design, staffing, and key data. This session offers insight into how the department operates and serves the community, with extra time dedicated to answering questions. The Wilsonville Police Department, in partnership with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, works to preserve life, uphold the law, and promote safety with a team of patrol officers, detectives, traffic officers, and specialized staff.

There will be no Rotary meeting in observance of Independence Day.

Jerry Hofmann, the bandleader of the classic Rock ‘n’ Roll band Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts, will be sharing tales from his musical journey. Later in the evening, prepare to be entertained as Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts light up the stage for their farewell performance. Jerry’s presentation, as engaging as the performances themselves, promises an unforgettable experience.

Bart Hafeman, the dynamic bandleader of Hit Machine, a high-energy Top 40/variety/dance band, will share his experiences leading this energetic seven-piece ensemble. Celebrated for its vibrant and powerful performances, Hit Machine takes the stage later that evening, delivering their top hits and crowd-favorite dance numbers. Bart's talk, filled with insights from his journey in the music industry, promises to be as energizing and engaging as the band's performance. More information will be provided soon.
