Club Meeting: Help Save a Life

Mike Rusher, a dedicated firefighter and longtime Wilsonville resident, will present "Help Save a Life." This important session will focus on how to administer Narcan, also known as naloxone, a medication used to counteract the effects of opioid overdose. Naloxone can quickly restore normal respiration in emergency situations, making it a vital tool in lifesaving efforts.

Club Meeting: Empowering Students with Dyslexia

Leslie Jenson, a dedicated dyslexia advocate and licensed Oregon educator, presents "Empowering Students with Dyslexia," where she will explore the nature of dyslexia, debunk common myths, and explain how the brain learns to read. Imran Haider, a member of the City of Wilsonville's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, will be providing an update on the committee's progress and strategic planning efforts. Since the committee's inception on December 14, 2021, significant strides have been made towards realizing a community that embodies inclusivity at its core. Imran will discuss the ongoing development of the strategic plan aimed at identifying and dismantling barriers to participation and inclusion, thereby promoting equitable access and opportunities for all residents and visitors of Wilsonville.

No Club Meeting: Installation Dinner

The Rotary Club of Wilsonville will hold its Installation Dinner on June 25 in lieu of a regular Thursday lunch meeting. The outgoing president will recognize the board and discuss the year's accomplishments, passing the torch to the incoming president who will introduce the new board and outline plans for the next 12 months. Join us for this special event with the theme "Let the Magic of Rotary Begin," featuring Happy Hour at 5:30 PM, entertainment at 6:15 PM, and a three-course dinner at 7:00 PM. At 7:30 PM, enjoy special entertainment filled with magic and wonder.
