It’s time to think of the others who are always thinking of others. The Rotary Club of Wilsonville is now accepting nominations for the 2021 Wilsonville First Citizen award. The deadline is December 31, and nominations can be submitted to www.wilsonvillerotary.com/nominate.
The Rotary Club of Wilsonville will host a World Polio Day livestream at 5 p.m. Sunday, October 24, viewable on the club’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/WilsonvilleRotary), as well as on Zoom (www.tinyurl.com/PolioDay97070).
The Wilsonville High School Interact Club and the Rotary Club of Wilsonville dedicated the community’s second Rotary Peace Pole on September 15 at Wilsonville High School. The poles are part of a movement founded by Japanese activist Masahisa Goi to promote a mindset of international peace.
At the Wilsonville Rotary Summer Concerts, Rotarians walk around during intermission with our white, red and yellow buckets, asking people to donate to this cause.
The Wilsonville Rotary Summer Concerts were dearly missed in 2020, but they’ll be back for 2021, starting with Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts performing on Thursday, July 22 at Town Center Park in Wilsonville.
