John Rockrohr, owner of Our Biz is BEES, will share an inside look at beekeeping and the important role bees play in our environment and local food systems. Based off Stafford Road in Tualatin, John brings a truly local perspective to this engaging presentation.
John will bring live bees in a demonstration hive, safely enclosed behind glass, allowing attendees to observe the bees up close and see them in action. The hive was built in his honey kitchen and is used year round for classes and community events.
This hands on presentation offers a unique opportunity to learn from a local beekeeper and see bees at work in a safe and controlled setting.
The Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community. Guests are welcome. Lunch is available off the menu; please arrive and order by 11:45 a.m. if you are ordering lunch. For more information, email president@wilsonvillerotary.com.
