DESCRIPTION:Jackie Haddon and Beth Kellan\, two of the co-founders of LiveAble Homes\, will lead a practical conversation on accessible housing and today’s aging-in-place market. They will break down the core definitions of accessible and universal design\, share key aging demographic data\, and look at the current reality of accessible housing inventory both locally and across the country. \nTheir presentation will also highlight practical solutions for incorporating universal design standards\, guidance on positioning yourself as an accessibility expert\, and an overview of the LiveAble Homes Program. They will also touch on certifying and marketing accessible listings. It’s a helpful look at how thoughtful\, well-planned design can support independence and comfort for people of all ages. \nThe Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community.
