SUMMARY:Club Meeting:  Alzheimer’s Awareness
DESCRIPTION:Shelley Kolb is a dedicated member of the Oregon and Southwest Washington Alzheimer’s Association\, where she serves as a Community Educator. With her extensive experience and knowledge\, Shelley aims to educate and support those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. \nAlzheimer’s is a growing crisis that is having a significant impact on individuals\, families\, and communities. This presentation aims to help you better understand\, cope\, and plan for this complicated disease. Key points of the presentation will include the definitions of Alzheimer’s and dementia\, risk factors\, treatments\, the ten early warning signs\, and available resources and support for patients and caregivers. \nThe Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community. Guests are welcome. Lunch is available off the menu; please arrive and order by 11:45 a.m. if you are ordering lunch. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from San Jose State University and has enjoyed the last eight years living with her husband\, Bill in Newberg.
