Club Meeting: What is the Boys & Girls Aid nonprofit?

Andrea Logan Sanders, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Aid, will discuss what Boys & Girls Aid (BGAid) does for the Oregon youth they serve. Andrea will be sharing: The Heart of BGA Mission, Notable Achievements, and Future Initiatives and Collaborations.

Andrea Logan Sanders, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Aid, will discuss what Boys & Girls Aid (BGAid) does for the Oregon youth they serve. Andrea will be sharing:

• The Heart of BGA Mission: Sharing the core mission and values of BGAid. The inspiration that started BGAid in 1885 and how the mission has evolved over the years.
• Notable Achievements: Sharing the most significant achievements and impact BGAid has made. Also, specific stories or initiatives that have had a lasting and meaningful effect on the communities BGAid
serves.
• Future Initiatives and Collaborations: Sharing exciting projects, programs, or partnerships and how the audience can get involved or support BGAid.

The Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community. Guests are welcome. Official bio:

Andrea Logan Sanders was recently named the 14th President & CEO of Boys & Girls Aid. During her 18 years with BGA, Andrea has taken on progressively crucial leadership roles. Acting as the organization’s Chief Organizational Officer since 2022, she has been instrumental in leading, shaping and acquiring funding for BGA programming, particularly in the areas of shelter, foster care and permanent housing. Andrea approaches her work with a passion for advocating for young people and their families to establish permanent, healthy relationships and stable housing.

A long-time Oregon resident, Andrea earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Anthropology at Lewis & Clark College and a Master’s of Science of Communication from Portland State University. As part of her community involvement and advocacy for youth, Andrea has been a long-time member of several Washington County advocacy and implementation committees.
