Official bio:  Sujan Shadrak is a Junior at Wilsonville High School. His main initiative for a reusable water bottle fundraiser was from his grandparents, who told him about the single-use plastic water bottles that kids in underprivileged areas used and threw away on a daily basis. He has great interest in reducing plastic waste as he has researched bioplastics in hope of developing a sustainable biodegradable plastic that can one day replace plastic all around the world. For his research, he has received recognition from the US Marines, The Ricoh Corporation, Broadcam Masters, and the Lemelson Association.  The recognition shows his determination to make an impact in the plastic pollution problem all around the world.
