DESCRIPTION:Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts transformed from a party gag in 1978 to iconic status with their energetic renditions of classic hits from the ’50s and ’60s. Their journey from regional fame in the Pacific Northwest to national prominence has been marked by performances at diverse venues including corporate parties\, civic celebrations\, fairs\, fundraisers\, concert halls\, and televised events. This wide-ranging appeal is further evidenced by their history of annual return engagements\, appealing to a broad audience from kids to grandparents. The band has shared the stage with legendary acts such as Chuck Berry\, Chubby Checker\, the Righteous Brothers\, and many more. Their international presence includes tours in Japan\, Korea\, and the Philippines\, as well as notable performances such as the opening game for the Oakland A’s and a special Nike event at the Los Angeles Olympics. \nTheir performances are more than just concerts; they are a toe-tapping journey through the golden era of rock and roll\, featuring tributes to legends like Elvis Presley\, the Beatles\, the Beach Boys\, and the Supremes. The nine-member band includes a dynamic horn section and a talented female vocalist\, enabling them to authentically cover a wide range of hits from Memphis to Motown. This commitment to showmanship and the electric energy they bring to each performance underscore why Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts are pivotal in keeping rock and roll forever vibrant and alive. \nWilsonville Rotary Summer Concerts were started in 2002 as the club’s gift back to the Wilsonville community\, held at Wilsonville’s Town Center Park.  These concerts take place on four consecutive Thursdays starting July 18\, offering free\, family-friendly events with headliner acts beginning at 6:30 p.m.\, and opening acts at 5:30 p.m. Each concert day\, one band member will also be a guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Wilsonville luncheon\, sharing interesting experiences from their musical careers.
