SUMMARY:Club Meeting: The Wilsonville Economy: The Forest and the Trees
DESCRIPTION:What makes Wilsonville’s economy tick\, and how well-positioned are we for the future? Matt will explore Wilsonville’s economic evolution\, the businesses and industries that drive our local economy\, and the broader regional and national forces shaping our future. Along the way\, he’ll examine Wilsonville’s competitive strengths\, emerging challenges\, and the investments and strategies the city government is pursuing to support a resilient and prosperous local economy. \nAbout us: The Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community. Guests are welcome. Lunch is available off the menu; please arrive and order by 11:45 a.m. if you are ordering lunch. For more information\, email president@wilsonvillerotary.com. \nBio: Matt Lorenzen has been the economic development manager for the City of Wilsonville since December 2021. He began his career as a high school social science teacher and then pivoted to work in commercial real estate development\, where he discovered the world of economic development.
