Mr. Freed is, as noted, the VP, General Counsel, and Secretary of Mentor Graphics Corporation, based in Wilsonville. Mentor creates and sells software and hardware products for the design of integrated circuits, printed circuit boards and electronic systems. Prior to joining Mentor in 1989, Dean worked in the Seattle offices of Perkins Coie, the Northwest’s largest law firm. At Mentor, he manages a worldwide team of about 20. He holds a BS in economics and a law degree from the University of Oregon.
