They have four grown daughters\, eleven grandchildren\, and nearly two great-grandchildren. Dr. Krier has practiced family medicine across Oregon in a wide range of settings. Although he has taken on administrative and research roles\, his primary passion remains direct patient care. \nIn 1987 his life took a new direction when he began international volunteering—an experience that reshaped both his professional and personal journey. Since then\, he has dedicated much of his free time to reaching new groups in need\, strengthening ongoing projects\, and inviting others into service. \nA major focus of his work is expanding public awareness of meaningful volunteer opportunities and improving the experience of the volunteers who participate. He frequently partners with Rotary clubs\, universities\, and other civic and governmental groups to build sustainable projects and stronger communities.

SUMMARY:Club Meeting:  From Coffee Creek to Uganda
DESCRIPTION:Carolyn Kerleine’s story is one of resilience\, service\, and transformation. A former Adult in Custody at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility\, Carolyn first met the Rotary Club of Wilsonville through Through a Child’s Eyes (TACE) and later worked with members at the Rotary Centennial Rose Garden. \nWhile incarcerated\, she became a Distinguished Toastmaster\, spent more than 15 years in the Coffee Creek Puppy Program\, and connected with Vision of Hope\, an organization that partners with Oregon prisoners to support an orphanage in Uganda. That connection led her to sponsor Gabriel\, a student at the orphanage\, and eventually travel to Africa in 2025\, where she met him in person and served at the children’s village. \nToday\, Carolyn continues to give back by aiding those transitioning from prison and serving as part of a certified therapy team with her dog\, who was raised in Coffee Creek. She will share her story alongside Laurene Brenner\, former manager of the Coffee Creek Puppy Program\, offering a firsthand perspective on the power of service\, personal growth\, and the connections that change lives. \nThe Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community. She later partnered with the club again at the Korean Memorial Rose Garden in Wilsonville. \nWhile at Coffee Creek\, Carolyn met members of Visions of Hope\, an organization that partners with Oregon prisoners to support an orphanage in Uganda. She began donating craft items for their auctions and as gifts for the village. Soon after\, she sponsored a student named Gabriel. \nIn 2023\, while still incarcerated\, Carolyn was invited to join the first team of formers traveling to Africa. She made that trip in 2025\, meeting Gabriel in person and serving at the children’s village in many capacities over a ten-day period. She also experienced a short safari and spent time working in the Ugandan bush. \nToday\, Carolyn continues to support others by aiding those transitioning from prison and teaching health education.

DESCRIPTION:Sarah Grabner\, Crime Victim Assistance Supervisor with the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office\, will share how her office supports individuals impacted by crime through a wide range of services. The mission of the Victim Assistance Program is to involve crime victims and the community in a process that helps to diminish the devastating impact of crime. Experienced advocates are available to assist victims of all crimes and provide support to individuals who have suffered physical\, emotional\, and financial harm. Services include crisis intervention\, emotional support\, court accompaniment\, safety planning\, and help with protective orders. \nSarah will also highlight the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Courthouse Facility Dog Program\, which provides comfort and emotional support to victims and witnesses of violent crimes as they navigate the justice system. Courthouse facility dogs are professionally trained assistance animals that work in prosecutor’s offices\, child advocacy centers\, and family courts across the country. They serve as legally neutral companions\, offering a calming presence that helps vulnerable witnesses and victims feel able to share their experiences during stressful legal proceedings. Some highlights of that second career include serving two terms on the Wilsonville Public Library Board and leading the campaign for the Clackamas County Library District in Wilsonville in 2008.  \nHilly currently serves on the Wilsonville Public Library Foundation Board of Directors and is the Executive Director of the Wilsonville Imagination Library\, a local partner of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library\, which she considers her best job ever. She still loves putting books back on the shelf and collecting items that library patrons have put on hold.

His volunteer work includes chairing Wilsonville’s American Cancer Society Relay For Life committee\, organizing church mission trips to central Mexico\, and coaching youth basketball and soccer. His Rotary journey includes serving as club president\, Area Governor from 2022 to 2024\, PETS trainer and facilitator\, member of the district Vision to Action Committee\, and ShelterBox ambassador. \nPat’s professional career included roles at Tektronix\, GE Healthcare\, and several smaller technology startups. In 2007\, he and two partners founded a web-based electronic medical record company\, which they grew to 30 employees before selling the business six years later. \nPat enjoys working as part of a team\, believing collaboration makes service more meaningful\, impactful\, and fun\, while building lasting friendships. He is one of five sons raised in the high-desert logging and farming community of Klamath Falls. After college\, he moved to the country outside Portland\, where he met and married his wife\, Lori\, and together they raised three daughters. He has also served as a marine deputy\, detective\, and sergeant\, and was most recently assigned to the Investigations Division as a lieutenant prior to being named Chief of the Wilsonville Police Department. \nJed is married with two teenage boys and enjoys snowboarding\, mountain biking\, hunting\, and playing guitar.
