DESCRIPTION:Our guest speaker\, Charles Rynerson\, will discuss population research and the 2020 U.S. Census. He is a research associate at the Population Research Center (PRC) at Portland State University. A Portland native\, he has worked as an applied demographer for 30 years at PRC\, the San Diego Association of Governments\, and the San Diego Unified School District. At PRC\, Mr. Rynerson is State Data Center Coordinator\, helping the public access and understand information from the U.S. Census Bureau. He also has prepared enrollment forecasts for more than 25 K-12 school districts in Oregon. \nThe Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets every Thursday at noon\, living out the club’s main objectives of service and fellowship. DESCRIPTION:Our guest speaker\, Jennifer Allain\, will give an introduction to the basics of Medicare\, including the different parts and how they work together. She will discuss Medicare qualifications\, what parts A and B do\, and the differences between Medicare Supplementals and Medicare Advantage plans. Guests will learn how to enroll in Medicare\, how it works if you’re covered by an employer\, and how to navigate connecting with your benefits. She will share references and answer questions; however some plan specific details and personal questions will need to be addressed separately.  \nThe Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets every Thursday at noon\, living out the club’s main objectives of service and fellowship. She is a 2010 graduate of Florida Atlantic University\, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies and double minors in Psychology and Sociology with a Certificate in Women’s Studies. She was also active duty with the U.S. Army for eleven years in the role of Military Police which included tours of Sarajevo\, Kuwait\, and Iraq. For the past 11 years\, though\, she has been helping individuals\, families and seniors get health insurance they can afford\, understand\, and use.  \nNote: The topic was changed from a previously scheduled program\, Soles 4 Souls\, which was cancelled.

SUMMARY:Club Meeting: The OLCC and Cannabis
DESCRIPTION:Our guest speaker will be Marvin D. Révoal\, a member of the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC). He will talk about the implementation of cannabis legalization in Oregon. \nMr. Révoal was appointed to the OLCC by Gov. John Kitzhaber in 2013 and was reappointed by Gov. Kate Brown in 2017. He served on the Oregon Workforce Investment Board\, as well as\, numerous nonprofit and community boards. Marvin is currently VP of Business Development at Wilson Heirgood Insurance. His past experience includes serving as a Marine and as a police officer in Oregon for 20 years.  \nMarvin has used all of his years of business experience relating to board development\, strategic planning\, financial stability\, and continuation planning to help develop the recreational cannabis industry in Oregon and maintain Oregon as a control state for the benefit of Oregonians. \nThe Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets every Thursday at noon\, living out the club’s main objectives of service and fellowship.
