SUMMARY:Summer Concert: Jennifer Batten and Full Steam
DESCRIPTION:Jennifer Batten's phenomenal talent on the electric guitar has taken her all over the world and still does to this day. She is often mentioned in conversations about the best guitarists in the world. However\, she knows better than anyone that it's not about showing off — it's about serving the song\, no matter the genre\, from rock to pop to dance to R&B. \nAnd she did that during 10 years as lead guitarist for the "King of Pop\," Michael Jackson\, going on three world tours and memorably performing alongside him at Super Bowl XXVI. She has also collaborated with Cirque du Soleil and with fellow guitar legend Jeff Beck as well. \nIn 2026\, Jennifer will make her third appearance at the Wilsonville Rotary Summer Concerts\, along with her very talented band\, Full Steam. She tours the world nine months of the year\, but enjoys Oregon summers. So\, she stays home and plays shows around the region\, giving local audiences the chance to see a world-class talent without traveling far. \nFull Steam is powered by two outstanding lead vocalists in Pat Yadon and new addition to the band Hannah Dimo\, and dynamic players Jim Beaty (bass)\, Norm Whitehurst (drums) and Kevin Burkhart (keyboards). Bringing along fun steampunk attire and a killer songlist that includes Michael Jackson\, Prince\, Daryl Hall / John Oates\, Huey Lewis and the News\, Toto\, Van Halen and many others\, Jennifer Batten and Full Steam bring new energy and a delicious edge to beloved classics\, making you realize that yes\, it can be done better than they did it on the record. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nOpening Act: Ryan Oetken\n\nRyan Oetken is a native Oregonian from Wilsonville whose passion for music led him to Nashville in 2011 to attend Belmont University. While studying in Nashville\, he became deeply involved in the city’s music scene\, spending the next decade performing\, touring\, and developing his craft as both a musician and songwriter. \nDuring his time in Nashville\, Ryan toured with a variety of artists and collaborated with award-winning songwriters\, experiences that helped shape his approach to live performance and songwriting. Working in one of the country’s most respected music communities gave him the opportunity to grow as an artist while building a broad range of musical influences and professional experience. \nIn 2021\, Ryan returned to Oregon\, bringing with him years of experience gained on stages and in writing rooms throughout Nashville. Since moving back\, he has continued performing across the Pacific Northwest\, combining the perspective and musicianship developed in Music City with the roots and influences that first inspired him to pursue music. \n

SUMMARY:Summer Concert: Band After Midnight (ABBA Tribute)
DESCRIPTION:Looking for a chance to hear your favorite ABBA classics from the Mamma Mia movies and beyond? You don't have to stay up late to see Band After Midnight\, Portland's sensational ABBA tribute\, who will be making their series debut in 2026 at the Wilsonville Rotary Summer Concerts. \nYou know the songs. "Waterloo\," "Dancing Queen\," "Take A Chance on Me\," "Fernando\," "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!\," "SOS\," Super Trouper\," "Does Your Mother Know\," "Knowing Me\, Knowing You\," "The Winner Takes It All\," of course "Mamma Mia" — need we go on? You'll hear them all and then some. There's a reason the Swedish quartet dominated the charts during their triumphant\, decade-long reign. That reason is pure pop songcraft with maximum hooks and state of the art production. ABBA delivered it all with such efficiency and aplomb — plus surprising emotional depth — that you just shouldn't bother trying to resist. \nBand After Midnight re-creates the full ABBA experience\, musically and visually. Just as ABBA and the Mamma Mia movies made you dance in the aisles\, BAM will make you dance on the Wilsonville concert lawn. \nBand After Midnight is an all-star ensemble made up of members of some of the Northwest's most celebrated tribute acts\, including Taken by the Sky (Fleetwood Mac tribute)\, Glass of Hearts (Blondie tribute)\, and Life During Wartime (Talking Heads tribute). Merging their vast experience and unique styles\, they capture the quintessential look and sound of ABBA\, transporting audiences back to the golden era of pop music. \nWith meticulous attention to detail\, they recreate the harmonies\, costumes\, and energy that made ABBA a worldwide phenomenon. "Band After Midnight" promises a nostalgic journey\, filled with the infectious tunes and dazzling performances that have enchanted fans across generations. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nOpening Act: Water\n\nBased in Portland\, Oregon\, three eclectic artists — Michele Van Kleef\, M.J. Johnston and JIm Walker — have joined together to form a captivating acoustic trio\, Water. With influences from 60’s jangle pop to 70’s folk-rock\, from 80’s power ballads to 90’s flannel bands\, these musicians have pooled their individual musical experiences into a group that flows together organically\, harmonically and as effortlessly as their name. \nMichele Van Kleef / Vocals\, Guitar — A soulful\, dynamic vocalist — formerly with the Pacific Northwest’s popular\, touring troubadours\, Calobo — Michele has released three melodic and lyrical solo albums. They include Just A Seed (2024)\, Your Own Way (2016)\, and After All (2012)\, plus an EP of some of her favorite covers\, Front Porch (2022). Van Kleef has had her music placed in several films and tv shows. Her song "Willing" was featured globally in the film trailer for the Johnny Cash biopic\, "Walk the Line". \nM.J. Johnston / Piano\, Keyboards — Originally from Chicago\, M.J. combines blues\, jazz\, R&B\, bluegrass\, and rock music to create his own unique sound at the piano. Though his musical influences are diverse and ever-expanding\, M.J. has deep roots in the blues and soul music of his childhood. Since moving to Oregon\, M.J. has performed live all around the Northwest and is in-demand as a studio session musician\, playing on a variety of albums\, EPs and television commercials. \nJim Walker / Guitar\, Vocals — A songwriter\, singer\, guitarist\, producer and engineer with over 70 original albums\, EP’s and singles released\, Jim is equally at home on the stage as in the studio. Jim’s songs and instrumental music are in films and tv shows around the world\, and his song\, Something To Remember Me By\, from the movie\, Three O’Clock High continues to be a favorite among fans of strange cult films.
