This Thursday we will hear from Life Flight Helicopters.  Here is a brief description of what they do.

If you’re like most people in the Northwest and Intermountain West, you live, work and play in our vast coastal areas, open spaces, scenic mountain passes and rivers. These locations are often remote and can put residents and visitors in danger should they need medical attention, whether due to a heart attack, injury, accident or other unforeseen event.

Life Flight Network, named the 2009 Air Medical Program of the Year by the Association of Air Medical Services, provides life saving transport to seriously ill or injured patients from the scene of an emergency or from one hospital to another. With a unique combination of air and ground ambulances and highly skilled personnel, we represent an integral part of local emergency medical systems.

By supporting and working together with local EMS, fire departments and hospitals, we can ensure every patient gets the best care possible for the best outcome. So no matter where you go, you can rest easy knowing you have a highly skilled medical transport team ready and waiting should you need them.
