Mayor Tim Knapp and the Wilsonville City Council have declared August to be Wilsonville Rotary / End Polio Now Month in the city of Wilsonville. The one-page proclamation recognizes the Rotary Club of Wilsonville for its many local and international service projects over the past 39 years, including the chess program, Through A Child’s Eyes, the First Citizen recognition program, the Wilsonville High School scholarships, omelet breakfasts, Wilsonville Rotary Summer Concerts, and more. The proclamation also recognizes the more than $31,000 the club has raised for polio vaccinations in the Third World since 2007, and urges residents to increase that total by making a donation at this year’s summer concerts.

The proclamation can be downloaded here.
